The authentic Cornell Lab of Ornithology sound studio recording was produced in collaboration with the Purple Martin Conservation Association. The CD was produced at the Library of Natural
Sounds of the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology from master tapes
provided by Dr. Eugene S. Morton of the Smithsonian Institute.
It has been proven to help martin landlords when played loudly outdoors near the nest sites. It lures martins in to investigate. Playing this recording for one or two hours before dawn is ideal,
but it can also be played any time of day during the two to four month
period when migrating martins are arriving. Especially effective when used with purple martin decoys.
The CD is 74 minutes in length. Included is a 16-page instruction booklet.
